If I had a dollar for each time I wondered how I got here I'd be a wealthy fool at best If I thought it was by strength that I had achieved what I achieved I would never want to rest But someone came before me and someone made a way... (yeah) And I know this, yes I do and I'm thankful for it each and every day. Somethin gained and somethin lost Somethin free and somethin cost And open door I didn't see. That made somethin different out of me. Out of me... out of me... mmmm ooo oo ooo How and when I got here is the day I learned to love my life yes even in the hardest place I chose this path it chose me, nothin can stand in the way Even good things I might face But someone had to let go and some loves had to leave Still this was the right choice. I gotta believe. Somethin gained and somethin lost Somethin free and somethin cost And open door I didn't see. That made somethin different.. Somethin beautiful... (come on) Somethin beautiful Somethin beautiful out of me.... Somethin gained and somethin lost Somethin free and somethin cost And open door I didn't see. That made somethin different Made somethin different Made somethin different.... out of me.

If You Want 04:34
Moving time Feelin fine and headed west LA bout because I found that its the best But then you called me Why'd you call me on the phone Cause when you call me it reminds me I'm alone. Please, do not call me ever again If you can't be my love, you can't be my friend. You say that you understand but you don't understand because of then why'd you say? If you want you can call me anyway If you want you can call me anyday If you want you can call me anyway If you want you can call *spoken - "Thats what you said" The phone rang its been a week since we last spoke Upon seeing the number I felt it was a very cruel joke but it wasn't you it was someone near to my heart The family you hold that also held me right from the start. And though I knew it'd be harder on me I picked up the phone and the call I received And when I heard their voice I simply took the choice. to respond... If you want you can call me anyway If you want you can call me any day If you want you can call me anyway If you want If you want You see something remains when the sound of your name sets me reeling and the joker inside says I wanna hide what I'm feeling. But the plain simple fact is how my heart acts when its you... It connects me to something that makes me so blue. But If you want you can call me anyway If you want you can call me anyday If you want you can call me anyway If you want If you want

Time On My Hands I've been thinking too much about everything and much of those things include you. I've been running around with agendas but now have so little to do. Since honesty led me to speak out What fear had welled up in my heart That feelings would get in the mix of what could be such a beautiful art So here is the hard way to freedom It leaves me alone again Maybe we'll meet up another time but time's on my hands time's on my hands time's on my hands now til then. We sat with our hearts on the outside And left them there out in the cold It meant we had much more to hide from the danger of being so bold You think that I took you for granted I realize maybe its true But never was that my intention I'm sorry I ever hurt you. So here is the hard way to freedom It leaves me alone again Maybe we'll meet up another time but time's on my hands time's on my hands time's on my hands time's on my hands now til then. Taking a breath, taking a break learning from life and my mistakes Shaking the fear, facing the truth learning from life... taking from you. So here is the hard way... Maybe we'll meet up another time.

Sunset 03:46
SUNSET V1 Videos and Neon signs, become the beat that’s keeping time And sure you’re feeling dizzy now, but trust me later you’ll feel fine The pavement underneath my feet, takes a turn and makes me a fool because I’m walking awkward on this boulevard, while everyone around me looks so cool CHORUS Sunset, take me in Take me to where you never lay to sleep Sunset, take me in Far, fast forward take me deep. take me deep..... V2 The old man living downstairs he don’t like me So there’s one way to get inside my place It’s through the quietness of the back door Life is better when he doesn’t see my face On Sunset, on Sunset V3 But what’s the good in early mornings, unless they are the end Of all those lonely nights walking Sunset Blvd, looking for a friend Said I’m looking for a friend, on Sunset, on Sunset Bridge The set sets in every other valley But the sun never sets in my town You can feel the darkness hanging on your shoulders As the lights go up and never settle down CHORUS Sunset, take me in Take me to where you never lay to sleep Sunset, take me in As the deep cries to the deep.

This River Runs dry I found love The journey's long and my soul's song says that I found love Its wearing me thin look at this state I'm in Its breaking my heart right at the start How can something so right hurt me so well How can I give up the fight when its too soon to tell? I give it all to You Father I give it all to You… I give it all to You Father I give it all to You <musical interlude> How can something so right hurt me so well How can I give up the fight when its too soon to tell? I give it all to You Father I give it all to You… I give it all to You Father I give it all to You

Grace 04:39
When I was young and innocent I was a genius knew everything the more I grew, the less I knew the more I knew I did not know anything And time brought fear, far to near I'm the one who forgot who I was Forgot the ground that I came from Forgot the people who showed me love Oooo what made me fall to this place where I only know grace as a name oooo maybe the cold that I feel Is the coldness that runs through my veins As I turn away (from hands reaching out to me) Turn away (pretending I do not see...that I have a need) And then a child came up to me and asked if I could meet a need Of the older man out in the cold I said, "Son you better do as your told" "Just turn away, he's here everyday He'll take all that you have and much more" The child said "Why do I hold on to the good that I have." "That seems wrong." Oooo what made me fall to this place where I only know grace as a name oooo maybe the cold that I feel Is the cold thats running through my veins Oooo what made me fall What made me blind As I turn away I turn away Face to the ground Hands in my pockets too full. And all that I'm thinking though sadly is, Leave me alone. What made me fall to this place Where I only know grace as a name Maybe the cold that I feel is the coldness that runs through my veins As I turn away turn away I turn away. When I was young and innocent I was a genius knew everything...

excerpt from "THE LEAST" lyrics (not released yet) Seek not their fortune Crave not their gold I'm buying the poor because the rich man is sold So you have something thats keeping you far I'm taking you now, just as you are. Captured by love, Driven by grace Captured by love, To come to the feast though I am the least though I am

Now I See 03:58
You have been here too walked within these blues God I hate these shoes but I gotta wear em And the words You speak God they make me weep and my knees grow weak but I gotta share em... yeah But what of this truth under my skin that longs for another world to live in And what of these burdens weighing me down waiting for life to come back around to come back around... But now I see You're here with me Even in the dark... Wrap my mind around thoughts that drag me down Running for the crown that I've yet to see. But this hope I've found Makes the loudest sound And the earth resounds underneath my feet.. But what of this truth under my skin that longs for another world to live in And what of these burdens weighing me down waiting for life to come back around to come back around to come back around How could there be light in this place? I fought with the angels to look at your face. How could there be light in this place? I fought with the angels... So what of this truth under my skin that longs for another world to live in And what of these burdens weighing me down weighing me down weighing me down But what of this truth under my skin that longs for another world to live in And what of these burdens weighing me down waiting for life to come back around to come back around to come back around, around, around But now I see You're here with me... Even in the dark.

random thought that goes on and on and on.....

about

I always considered these bare bones recordings to be demos. But through the urging of multiple friends and family I'm deciding to release songs that up until now have only been stowed in my iTunes for a select few to hear.
I edited & mixed the songs myself on GarageBand for hours on end... weeks at a time... and feel like I salvaged something I deem worthy of your ears. Even if they are just bare bones... most all of them were recorded just one time through... Three were written in the moment that I recorded them (tracks 5, 10 & 11). So close your eyes... get ready to chill... cause this is me in your living room unrehearsed, unafraid, unfinished.
